Debt-Free Adoption

Y the Brave is now Silas and has been home since 2016!  I want to keep this site up for people looking for ideas on how to raise funds for adoption.  We praise God that He provided for our adoption without us having to take out a single loan!

Here are all posts related to our adoption of Y!
Our hosting adventures are found here.

Here is a list of our fundraisers.

Shoe Fundraiser with Funds2Orgs-$1,130

——————————————————————————–

Homeschool Picture Day-$965

A local friend who is a hobby photographer volunteered to do this event.  It was a lot of work on her part but we were so blessed by all of her efforts to help us.

Handmade Hope$100

This was a beautiful fundraiser.  Although we didn’t raise a lot of money, it was special to be supported by another adoptive/special needs mama.

Thirty-One Fundraiser-$100

This is a great fundraiser that supports a direct sales associate and us!  One can never have too many bags!

Premier Jewelry Fundraiser

$78

Another great fundraiser to support direct sales associates.

T-shirt Fundraiser

Raised $508!  THANK YOU!!!

A friend who happens to be a graphic artist designed the shirts for us.  We were able to get a great deal on having them made by Big Frog.

Doughnut Fundraiser and Yard Sale

March 21, 2015
$215 Raised!

November 2015 Yardsale-$465
—————————————————-

We applied for about ten grants but were only awarded two.  However, those two grants added up to almost $4000.  That combined with generous donations from friends and family helped tremendously!  Fund Your Adoption works hard to keep an updated spreadsheet of grants available to adoptive families.  Yes, applying for grants is a bit more work but it’s worth it if you’re trying to steer clear of debt.
