Baby Peanut is…

a boy!!! Josiah Britt let us know right away that he was on the way. He is healthy and growing good. He measured about 20 weeks give or take a week. He was asleep even after drinking caffeine but the tech was able to wake him up. We are praising God that He has chosen us to raise not one, or two, but three little boys for His glory! We are a little overwhelmed that we will have three boys but any amount of children no matter what gender is a great responsiblity as well as a gift. So, Zoe will get to be the little princess for a while longer until God chooses to bless us with a little girl through adoption (we pray).

Here’s his little boy part picture to verify for everyone. We definitely didn’t see any of the “lines’ that are typical of a girl on the ultrasound.

Sweet little Josiah just a snoozing.
His pretty little foot.

Most everyone knows that Zoe was praying for a baby sister. I was worried about her reaction but she was just thrilled to be able to see the baby on the screen. She was wide eyed and grinning the whole time. She is thrilled about being able to swap rooms now (look for an invite to our painting party soon!). She was also thrilled to be able to see such a sweet miracle. She loved looking at his feet and hands. Here are a few of her comments:
“He’s so pretty!”
“I can’t believe he’s so small.”
“Can I see his feet again!?”

Thank you for praying that he was healthy. He is a true blessing from God. Please continue to pray for a continued healthy pregnancy and delivery!

Oh yeah, Josiah’s name:
Josiah was a king. His name means “God will save” or “”fire of the Lord.” You can read about him in 2 Kings 21 through23. Here is a little of what the Bible says about him:

Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem thirty-one years. His mother’s name was Jedidah daughter of Adaiah; she was from Bozkath. He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD and walked in all the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left. 2 Kings 22:1-2

Britt is my maiden name and a way for us to carry on the Britt name.
