Modest Swimsuit Update and Others…

Well, I didn’t have to buy an expensive swimsuit online! Yippee! Instead I settled for one that Mark really liked from Kohl’s. Croft & Barrow make some nice modest swimsuits and I was really excited about that…however, their swimsuits fit smaller than most and I had to go up a size…didn’t like that. Right now, the Croft & Barrow sets are on sale for 55% off…so, if you are looking for a modest, decent swimsuit…there ya go. I actually found two that I liked and looked good and Mark chose from them. I tend to over scrutinize my body, so I was glad Mark was there to pick what he thought looked best. The downside to those swimsuits is that if you’re one size on top and another on bottom, you’re out of luck…but Kohl’s also had several separates that you could piece together to make a complete set and still come out about $20 cheaper than one of the online stores. So, for now, this swimsuit will work and I’ll save up for next year when I can be in a smaller size and get a pretty modest suit from one of the stores mentioned in an earlier post.

On my new nephews note (and I don’t want to post much since I know several family members/friends read my blog and theirs), they are home and apparently doing well…from our latest report (I haven’t talked to Mark to get the up to date). Thank you for your continued prayers for them. Still not posting names or anything until I get the okay from B&B.

Announcing…

our two new nephews! Yep, that’s right…that brings the total of grands for Papa and Grandmere to three sweet princesses and seven little knights!

Aunt B was able to deliver without a c-section. Uncle B delivered the babies with the doctor assisting! Babies and mom are doing great. We received a text about 12 that their sugar levels needed to go up. Not sure if that was before or after we talked to Papa but Papa had told us that they were not in NICU!

I’m not going to give names until I can get the correct spellings etc…no pictures yet either…cuz we don’t have any…hello, people…we live like seven hours away 🙂

Thanks to everyone for your prayers. Oh, here’s their weights: 4 lbs 14 oz (almost made it to five) and 6 lbs 2 oz.

Please continue to pray for them, that they continue to grow and are healthy until they are allowed to go home.

Countdown to “T” Day…3 Days

That’s countdown to “Twins” day…when Mark’s sister-in-law has her two babies! We’re so excited even though we are about seven hours apart! We’ve been praying for these babies for a long time and continue to do so. SIL will be induced on Tuesday due to little “lefty” being a sprite little runt for his age weighing in at about 4 lbs 11 oz at his last ultrasound showing…about a week ago.

So, while we were away for our anniversary trip, Mark’s parents asked the kids what Aunt B was going to have, boys, girls, or one of each. Here’s the tally…Mark and I added to it after we got back because Zoe insisted we had to. I’ll have to also add that Ace asked me the other day if I was going to have one baby or two. This adoption thing is really messing with his head, especially since Aunt B has babies growing in her belly and he’s so used to me having them in mine!

I digress..Here’s the guesses as written down by Papa (who happens to call the babies “Pete” and “Repete”…hehehe).

Zoe: one boy and one girl
Ace: two boys (that would make the grand kids at a whopping seven boys and a lowly three girls making for some fun family get togethers, huh?)
Papa: two boys (Papa likes his boys!)
Grandmere: one boy and one girl
Liam: two boys
Mommy: two girls (just because no one said it and I would love some more girls in our own home)
Daddy: one of each (it’s kind of like grocery shopping…hmm, I’ll take one girl and one boy…just to even things up around here…is there a special??)

Okay, so anyone that reads…and to give B&B a kick, leave a comment and take a guess as to what they are having!

Since I mentioned the adoption, I’ll update here and say that we have mailed off our first mailing for our homestudy which included our application and a little bit of the lot of money we have to send in! Keep praying! And no, I’m not pregnant…again…just got to make that clear!

Visiting with Friends

On Monday night we visited with some friends who had moved to Nebraska a few years ago. They were in town staying with some other friends. They have a two daughters and a son (11, 7…I think, and 4). All the kids enjoyed playing together. It was fun being able to catch up.

Alright, we let the kids take the picture and I had to crop out our mummy tummies! But, here we are. Me, Annette, Josette (my friend from out of town) and Christy.
Ace and Zach talking “man” talk.

Zoe and Talia have always gotten along well.

Liam and Katie (the female version of Liam) showing us sand.

Talia’s self portrait.

Katie enjoying some beans.

The men talking.

Katie really enjoyed the watermelon. We got a kick out of watching her tummy fill with water…she walked around chomping on watermelon with her shirt up.
And this was Katie after three or four triangles of watermelon! Actually, she was trying to flip.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today, we celebrated my mother’s 60th birthday. I can put how old she is because she says she hates being 59! She wanted to get over to an even more solid number…like she accomplished something. It’s been a really tough year for her, so it was nice to surprise her with a big party. She was surprised…which is hard to believe. We were even able to find her a sugar free cake (thanks to Publix) since she has diabetes.

The sign that greeted mom!

Here she comes!
