A Trip to Washington D.C. Day 4

Lots of pictures here, so I’ll just let the pictures tell about our trip to the National Zoo and trick or treating. Yes, the new stroller worked great!

We went to the zoo with part of a family that came down with one of Mark’s coworkers from Idaho. Jackie was the mom, and Julie was one of her daughters. Julie is 17 and boy were they useful!!! Zoe and Ace took to them immediately and loved getting their attention. This is a bear statue right out of the metro elevator on the way to the Zoo.

Arent’ they adorable! Right out side of the Panda exhibit. I did get to see the Pandas but was unable to get a good picture due to everyone around the exhibit.

Zoe was imitating the turtles on this log…they’re there! I promise 🙂

Two things Zoe wanted to see, Zebras, and Flamingoes. The Zebra we saw right away (right next to the Cheetah pen…I think that was a little cruel for the cheetah). The flamingoes took forever to find. When we finally found them, Zoe talked on and on about them! She was so excited! So, for Zoe, here are the Flamingoes.

We got to watch the elephants training. That was really fun to watch and they were very entertaining and cute.

Alright, so all the guys who were working with Mark (three from Idaho and one from where Mark works), decided Zoe, Ace, and Liam needed to go trick or treating, so they went out Monday night and got treats for all of them. After supper on Tuesday, we dressed the kids up in their costumes (Liam’s was ruined when I washed it, so all he had was his hat), and they trick or treated in the hotel.

Candy from Mr. Joe.

Liam took to Mr. Paul! So did Zoe and Ace! Just one look and they could tell he was a granddad!

The Cat in the Hat crawling away!
