Let’s Go for a Ride

Our neighbor!

Let’s just say, yesterday was not the happiest day in the world for me. Luckily, our neighbor came by with his two girls and offered to take Zoe out riding on her bike. While that was great for Zoe, I was left with two very sad little boys. Mark soon came home, however, and took them out with the girls. They all had fun. Mark and I are getting such a kick out of Liam pushing his trike…he refuses to ride it!

Lovely Leaves

Okay, we have two big…strike that…huge oaks in our front yard. We delay raking the leaves every fall until each and every leaf has fallen from the tree. That has finally happened, so Mark took advantage of the good weather this past weekend and started raking. He had lots of help.

Way to Go Grace

This is what my mom said when I frequently took a dive or bumped into something. And this is all I could think when I went sailing through the church hall on Sunday. Actually, it was a little foyer.

I was chasing after Liam to take him back to class (he comes in to worship with us during the singing part). My shoes hit the slick concrete and I did a beautiful baseball player slide into the door going into the sanctuary hall. On my way down, my cheek collided with Liam’s head and I took him down too.

No broken bones…just very sore. My shoulder is sore from where I caught myself. My thigh is very bruised from where I landed. Somehow my other leg is a little sore too…not sure what that is from.

I was also praising God that no one saw me…it would have been very embarrassing!

I’m just not young anymore.

Big Girl

Last night, Zoe told me her tooth was hurting her when she brushed. We knew it was getting loose because the dental dude noticed it at her last dentist visit. So, I tried to wiggle the one she said hurt. But, it didn’t budge. The one next to it, however, did! Aggghhh! I’ll take boogies and bloody knees over teeth or feet. Yuck. Besides that, my little girl is growing up.

My mom and Mark both remarked that she was too young to loose a tooth. I reminded my mom that my pre-k pics were of me with a big toothless smile. Oh yeah, she’s at that age isn’t she.

Because…

Mark took Ace out for some father/son time on Friday. Ace has attitude problems. He’s very negative and he can get in fits really easy. So, they had some heart to heart time. Mark continued to talk to him about why he should obey mommy & daddy and that he have to discipline him when he doesn’t. He talked to him about using his noodle to think things through. So, on the way home Mark asked him why we told him to obey us.

“Because you wuv me.”

Mark’s heart melted!

We’re Here Still!

I’m sorry I haven’t posted. Today has been one of few days where I could actually see out of my eye. All of us are still sick and I am about done with my antibiotic. I’ve got eye drops that I have to put in every hour (or when I remember). I’ve been sewing like crazy getting some baby gifts ready and some burp cloths ready to sell! Took Zoe to see Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus 3D concert. Mark took Ace to have some father/son time…that kept him up to speed for about 3 minutes. Now we’re working around the house to get this and that done.

Oh yeah, Freddie the fish is still amongst the living. He was spotted by one of the cats on Thursday. I laughed at poor Champ because it took him a week to realize there was a fish there. I guess he’s forgotten about him because he’s not trying to figure out away to get to him.

Pictures to come!!!

A Brief Update

Sorry I haven’t posted in so long…for anyone interested. All and I do mean ALL of us have a cold. It started with me…went to Liam…then to Mark…then to Josiah…and now to Zoe and Ace who seem to have gotten it at the same time. To top that off, I think I have some kind of pink eye thing going. Not sure but it hurts and has gotten better with a little bit of antibiotic. Liam and I are heading into sinus infection stage. Mark is getting over it and Josiah seems to not really have it very seriously (yea breastfeeding!!). To add to our colds, the temp today is in the upper 60s!!!

I’m still attempting 3 trips to the gym but it still ain’t happenin’ so I’m trying to be content with two and working my tail off at those two trips!

Not much else going on.

If you see me on the road, be patient, I can’t see very well 🙂

Josiah’s Seven Months

Ugghhh, I can’t believe how old he’s getting so fast. Time has truly flown by with him. Anyway, no stats this month. Just a couple of pictures. He celebrated month number seven by sitting up by himself for more than 2 seconds! He loves to eat, snuggle with mama, and laugh at big sis and big brothers.
This is Josiah’s “girlfriend.” She was born just five days after Josiah (and on Mark’s birthday). Lest you think Josiah is a giant, please note that his friend was actually 4 pounds at birth (she was a month early).

Yes, they are all mine!

Funny things that happened when we went out to eat tonight at Stevi B’s (I know it’s not fancy food but it’s decent and cheap!).

Liam dropped a piece of pizza on the floor.
“Uh oh,” he says, “‘unny, come ‘ere.” Translation: Liam was calling for Sunny to come and eat her food…ahhh, family secrets revealed. We use our dog for a vacuum cleaner!

Ace thought that cherry dessert pizza would taste good in ranch dressing. He liked it, I gagged.

After we ate, they each got a $1 to play games in the very little arcade. Zoe played the race car game all by herself for the first time and got last place. Mark played and Zoe was watching him. He placed 3rd. Zoe’s comment: “Wow! Daddy you only got 3. I beat you. I got more than you!”

Ahhh, my life. Not a lot of comments on my hands being full but one mom stopped and asked me what I would recommend baby equipment wise. She was expecting her second and her first one was 9 years old. “Well, ma’am, if you would just read my blog…” I actually gave her some musts and then she made a comment about how well I was doing with them. They didn’t see me snap at them when we got to the restaurant.
