First time to pull up without mommy or daddy’s help!

Liam is doing unbelievably well! He is pulling up on anything that will stand still long enough for him to grab. He started staying “dada” sounds last week and picked up “mama” sounds this week. Unfortunately, the “mama” sounds are only when he’s mad. He’s getting quite the personality and thinks that Zoe and Ace are just tops. He’s cruising around furniture and today, he stayed standing for a few seconds until he realized I had let go of him. He’s going up our two stairs with ease. And he’s popping up on his hands and knees and crawling that way more than belly crawling (although he’s really fast on his belly). It’s safe to say, he’s right where he needs to be developmentally. We’ll continue with pt/EI until he’s met all of his goals…the last of which is walking (of course).

Now…enjoy pictures of the whole crew from the month of September.

Zoe thoroughly enjoys the last class of the month in ballet. It’s dress up time. She picked out this special hat (see a post in September) and wand and was clad in pink from head to toe!!! Our little princess…

Columbia County Ballet (where Zoe takes) presented The Selfish Giant. We took Zoe and Ace but since it was at night, left Liam with a friend (he was much happier trying to sleep than sitting through a ballet). We all loved it. Not only did they do The Selfish Giant, but we were able to see several other pieces including one that Mark and I thought was hilarious called Great Scot! Anyways, we had checked out a book from the library called Fancy Nancy about a little girl who gets her parents to dress up. So, Zoe picked out our “fancy” clothes and we enjoyed sharing a big brownie at the cafe during intermission…we had our own “fancy” night. Ace walked around with that book the whole week after talking about “ancy ancy.” By the way, Columbia County Ballet was named the resident ballet company at our Performing Arts Theater at the performance. We thought that was pretty neat.

Settling in to watch Alabama play! Liam was being such a cuddlebug…We broke out the camera and got Zoe an dAce to get in on the act!

Zoe and Liam decided they would have a commando crawling race. For those who don’t know, Zoe was an exclusive belly crawler…destined for the army, I guess! So this was extremely funny. They went up the hallway and back down. I think Liam beat her (maybe he’s heading to the army?!). Our kids are so goofy…we love it!

Proof that Liam, 9 mths old, beat big sis, Zoe, 3 1/2 years old!!!
