Guesses for Baby Peanut

Okay, I couldn’t resist, I had to include a baby pool for baby peanut. We’ve done it with at least Zoe and Ace so I thought we’d do it with Little Peanut! You can click on the link below and enter the following information to be in on the pool! The winner gets to enjoy just being right.

ExpectNet

Game name is: babypeanut4

For those that need to know: Not sure if I’m carrying high or low…mostly in the middle right now. I am currently not planning on being induced so the due date is up in the air. Eating a ton (no big cravings just a lot of different things). I didn’t ask the heart rate so can’t help there. Have fun guessing!!

Zoe’s prayer & Dancing Liam

Today Zoe has been praying that God would really bring her a baby sister. This is and will be a great teaching moment for her whether he has blessed us with a boy or girl!

Also, Liam has been dancing lately. He started out by holding on to something and moving his feet really fast up and down. Now when I say “Dance Liam Dance!” He’ll turn around in a circle…Really watching a lot of his sister and brother dance!

Getting back to nature

Yesterday, we decided it was time to rake leaves. For those that don’t know, we have two very large oak trees in our front yard. Not all of the leaves have fallen off the tree yet (as an indication as to how big it is)…but, we would like grass to grow some this spring and summer, so we needed to get the leaves off so photosynthesis could work hard. On a plus side for nto raking leaves, we haven’t had to cut our grass while others have because of the unusually warm weather!

Zoe helped a good bit until she just couldn’t take it anymore. Ace tried to help but wound up scattering them all over again. After we got two big piles raked up, we let the kids go at them. They asked to “pile on the pile!”

Edventure

We ventured out with the kids on Saturday to Edventure. Edventure is a Children’s museum in Columbia, SC. It was a blast! The kids were a hoot! Mark and I were exhausted from trying to get our eyeballs to move in three different directions to keep up with them. Liam so thoroughly enjoyed it that he was out cold before we got out of the parking lot.

Here are the pictures from our “Edventure!”

Zoe, Liam, and Abbie on the midday news!

Captains Zoe and Liam full speed ahead!

Zoe’s beautiful hat made in the A-ha Factory! Ace, Liam, and Daddy headed for Eddie a two-story 10 year old boy that you can climb in and check out all of his systems!

Trying their hand at making music together!

Zoe and Ace, future dentists! They wouldn’t go near this exhibit until Mommy showed them how to play with it.

I love this picture! At the fireman exhibit, they had coveralls, coats, and boots for young trainees to try on! Zoe passed it by quickly seeing that they did not include dresses…but Ace had to put on everything! He was pretty disappointed that they didn’t have a hat. He was adorable and we had a time getting him to take it off when we moved on.

Here we are in Snowville! This was a special exhibit set up for the winter. It included a big “ice’ slide, throwing “snowballs” at a tree, a hockey rink with carpet skates (we need some of those) , and an igloo building area. Also, there was “snow” (soap bubbles) that fell in one of the rooms!Liam enjoying the snow!

Ace sliding down!

Zoe sliding down!!!

Hear ye! Hear ye! All Lords and Ladies of the Amazing Castle! Prince Ace and Princess Zoe loved exploring this traveling exhibit and the main reason we decided to go on Saturday! This was the last weekend of the Amazing Castle. Ace found a great costume to dress up in. They both said their favorite part of the whole castle was the dragon that popped up after answering questions about various jobs around the castle.

Liam loved the blacksmith shop and banging away on the table!

Baby Peanut Update

Baby Peanut is growing good. Not sure how much weight gain but not worried about it either…we’re doing good and he/she is keeping me hungry. We got to hear the heartbeat. Zoe, Ace, and Liam all got to come to the appointment so they got to hear it too. Zoe loved it. She wouldn’t stop rubbing my belly all morning. It took awhile to hear the heartbeat, he/she was moving too much, but he/she finally slowed down for us to hear it.

We’re scheduled for an ultrasound on February 15th and, if the baby cooperates, we’ll be able to see if it’s a boy or girl. So, now is the time to post your thoughts…is it a boy or girl?? what are the names?? We’d love to hear what our friends are thinking!

Our votes:
Abbie: Boy
Mark: Girl
Zoe: Girl (just because she wants it to be)
Ace: whatever Zoe says
Liam: baba *splurt*

Update on our family

I promise I will get pics up soon. I wanted to post an update, in words, on how the Georgia Characters are faring.

Zoe and Liam both had well kid check ups today.

Zoe’s was good. She’s tall and thin. Her pediatrician noticed her lack of speech clarity right away. She has no problem putting sentences together. It’s the pronunciation of the words/letters that causes problems and makes it hard to understand. We go for her IEP on Friday morning. I had her evaluated and since she is over 3 it was through the school system, which is not known for their speedy returns. It took almost 2 months and a phone call to the therapist to actually get the IEP meeting set up. I’ll keep everyone update on her progress.

Liam is great too. We’ve hit the 20 pound mark and will be turning the carseat forward tomorrow! Yippee! Much easier ride for all of us. The plan (when it gets closer to baby time) is to move Zoe to the middle seat with the baby and have “the boys” take over the back seat. That way, since I can’t sit in the back with four kids in our minivan, Zoe will be able to run interference on long trips! Okay, back to Liam’s appointment…nothing big to announce. He’s growing.

They both got shots and both cried. Zoe tried so hard not to cry but she just couldn’t hold it in. I think she was disappointed in herself but I kept reminding her that it was okay if she cried because it does hurt a little. She tried to tell me she wasn’t going to cry and was going to be a big girl. After the shot she got to pick a toy from the birthday room so that made it all better.

More later…I think!

Happy First Birthday Liam!

Liam’s first birthday was a lot of fun! We had a friend and Mark’s parents come over on Friday for pizza and cake. Liam finally started to get the hang of unwrapping presents (not like he hasn’t had a lot of practice). Of course, he loved his cake. I found the edible image on ebay and it came with little cupcake decorations and sprinkles. All that was left was to add the frosting and wording. We did a small 6 inch cake for Liam (called a “smash” cake) and then cupcakes for our friends. This time, it was cool outside, so the frosting was not gloppy like Zoe’s.

Concentrating on playing!

Liam enjoying his smash cake. See why it’s called that?? You just give it to them and let them go at it! Lots of fun. He ate about 1/4 of the cake. This after eating a piece of pizza! My little piglet 🙂

I think Katie-bug enjoyed the cake just as much as Liam!

And finally, we decided to give Liam back…look he has his gift receipt for an easy return!

Christmas 2006

We had a great Christmas day. We arrive home from our travels shortly before noon on Christmas eve. So, we had plenty of time to relax before Christmas. Zoe, Ace, and Liam each recieve one gift from Santa and then three gifts from us, along with stocking stuffers. We also took them to The Dollar Store this year to pick out gifts for each other. That was fun watching them choose gifts and having to remind them that the gifts were for each other. As they get older, they will have to earn the money to purchase gifts for each other. Here are just a few pictures from Christmas day.

In MOPS, FamilyLife and several other companies had teamed together to equipp each MOPS group to share the meaning of Christ through neat activities called “What God Wants for Christmas.” This included opening boxes that helped tell the story of Christmas as well as coloring sheets, a dvd, and a hardback book entitled What God Wants for Christmas. We used it for our MOPS group and liked it so much, our family purchased the activity boxes and used those on Christmas Eve to relate the story of Christmas. The kids really enjoyed the activity and completing the Christmas scene. Needless to say, this will probably be incorporated into our Christmas traditions from here on out!

Liam taking a chill from all the activities. He doesn’t look like a baby anymore 🙁

Ace received a workshop from Santa which they all three thoroughly enjoy.

Zoe’s Santa gift was a bicycle. She really enjoyed it but, unfortunately, it rained the day of Christmas, so she had to wait a day before taking off on her bike. She does good pedaling but steering AND pedalilng are pretty much out of the question. She’s also afraid of falling now because she steering too close to the curb and fell over (while going all of 1.5 miles per hour)! We’re working on tryign our best and trusting God that we won’t get hurt when we fall.

Practicing for the Teen Years

Ge and Granddaddy thought it would be a great idea to give their two granddaughters some makeup for Christmas! It was so much fun watching them put it on. It all came in a neat little bag that says “Princess” on one side. Here is Zoe modeling the lipstick and hairbows, and other things! She’s funny because she won’t put her lips together after she puts the lipstick on. She’s in an open pucker pretty much the whole time she has the makeup on.

Here’s Jacie concentrating on putting on lipgloss!

A Visit to Nana’s

While we were doing our Christmas visiting, we headed out to visit one of Mark’s grandmothers and his uncle. They had a great time with the kids. I thought I would post some of the fun pictures of them.

Liam visiting with Great Nana! He loved her voice and he was very still sitting with her.

Mark’s Uncle Darrell and friend, Glenda with the kids! Zoe and Ace enjoyed being chased by Uncle Darrell as he tried to get their nose.
